Good value hotel. I only stayed for a night but got a great room for the price. The pool area looked nice, as did the restaurant.

Lovely pool. Clean, lovely rooms.
Pool could have been cleaned more often. Breakfast underwhelming. Location ok, just for the time of the year nothing was open.

Clean, spacious chalet with nice decor and comfortable bed. Quiet location between main road and beach, monitored by security guard. Close to restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. Enjoyed the two large swimming pools for laps. Good breakfast with fruit, toast, eggs, and bacon. Incredible deal in low season.

the place was very quiet as it was the off season - thought it was great
The restaurant only opened for breakfast while we were there, the best part is there were an assortment of restaurants only a short walk away at very reasonable prices

Nice garden and pool. And the best restaurant just up the road to left (boonyarit) you really need to try it!!
Far to beach, but they drive to the beach from the hotel 2 times a day.

We loved the hotel's two pools, clean surroundings and its clever layout, which made the area feel spacious. In addition, its close proximity to many good restaurants and stores made it convenient for us to find everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and the staff was attentive and friendly.
Nothing could have been better.

Very green location, like if you stay in a jungle area, together with frog sounds from the pond etc. Nice pool and good breakfast buffet every morning. Location is good for town, not as long walk as other reviews say.
Ants in the bathroom. We stayed in two different villa's and both had a rodent living in the airco system which keeps you awake with scratching and making noises the whole night, unless you use earplugs. I think all villa's have a rodent in the airco. Its a perfect hiding place for them, accessable from the roof. It is not possible by the way for that animal to enter the room. Very slow internet and because of that overpriced for 100 baht per hour.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel called Katathani in Khao Lak. The location was perfect, situated on the outskirts of the town and just a short walk from the beach. The lush, green gardens surrounding the hotel created a peaceful atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, always wearing smiles and eager to help. The bed in my room was huge and incredibly comfortable. The well-maintained grounds and beautiful gardens added to the overall charm. I also enjoyed the varied breakfast choices and the convenience of having eateries, shops, supermarkets, and banks nearby. The hotel's amenities, such as the pools, gym, and spa, were fantastic. The walk-in shower in my room was the best I've ever experienced. it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, made even better by the friendly staff and excellent location.
No 🚔 traffic noise.

small and friendly, good location, easy walk to beach during the day and plenty of restaurants more or less on the doorstep of an evening.
the hard bed, and the noise of the air conditioner when trying to sleep

Fantastic location, close to restaurants and beaches. The room was lovely and clean with great amenities. The breakfast was amazing with a wide range of food to choose from. One of the best aspects was the peaceful atmosphere which was perfect for a relaxing weekend away.
The pool was a little too crowded for my liking and some guests reserved sunbeds even though the sign stated that it wasn't allowed. However, the hotel staff didn't enforce this rule which was disappointing.

The rooms at The Leaf On The Sands By Katathani - Sha Extra Plus were amazing! I stayed in one of the lower level units and the spacious terrace overlooking the beautiful flora made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the natural beauty. As a budget traveler, this was exactly what I was looking for.
Personally, I didn't care for the private balcony with pool or garden view. It just didn't do it for me.
